What is your favorite sandwich?
It's a tie between:
Roast Beef with American Cheese on a poppy roll. Mayo, tomato and lettuce only.
Bacon egg whites and chesse on a poppy roll with ketchup salt and pepper (put on by the deli guys, of course).
NOTE: All of these sandwiches are made in NY.
Jacqui knows what I'm talking about...the rest of you will just have to suffer with my description

humm..tough choice.
My favorite "breakfast or hangover" sammich would be taylor ham, egg and cheese on plain bagel, with salt, pepper and ketchup. The greasier, the better!
Favorite "anytime" sammich would be turkey, YELLOW american cheese on plain or everything bagel, with lots of mayo.
And speaking of Taylor Ham (aka pork roll), why is it you can only get this in the NY/NJ area? Have we had this discussion before? My friends and I were talking about it last week and it doesn't seem to exist across the country. I feel soo sorry for you non-taylor ham people...

You know what else is good??? that the NYC area has that nowhere else does (nyc area being westchester, LI, and northern jersey).. Italian combo wedges. I have had them else where and they arent the same. yum

When I was younger I had a favorite sandwich. My mom would take a leaf of lettuce, dip it in catsup and ketchup, place it on a single slice of bread, which would then incidently be folded in half. This was cut into 5 pieces, one for each of the children. It wasn't enough to keep us healthily living, but that small portion was like a little piece of heaven.
Lettuce, catsup, ketchup, and bread... it's like a sandwitch! Which? Witch.

I see that the Food thread was not enough here. The sandwich is, in fact, deserving of it's own thread. I personally love fresh mozzerella with sundried tomatoes and pesto on a thin garlic roll. I also will do doggy tricks for Arby's market fresh sandwiches, specifically the chicken caesar and the new chicken salad one they have. (Fruit with my meat? Yes, please.)

I'm a big fan of simple sandwhiches. I heart bologna & cheese.
