Speaking of remote controls...
In my former english class, my teacher became very excited when he saw an old VCR remote control. Rather than 'eject' it said 'reject'. He was amazed by this.
I found this very traumatic: he turned to me, pointed the remote, hit the button and shouted "YOU, REJECT!! NOW!!" This was followed by a chorus of laughter from the class.

I get that with 'mute' anytime ANY wiseass picks up a remote control. Do they think it is the first time it has been done? It isnt funny. You get the deliberate punching of the button, followed by the look of confusion/distraught, and then concluded with a sassy ass 'Hmph, it doesnt seem to be working, you just wont shut up.' I would kill everyone I knew that did this to me if I could remember and find them all.
I am sorry he 'rejected' you.

I would only sleep with a coworker if she was my boss and used clever innuendos like, "So, you want a raise?"

been through the office hookup thing... big mistake. especially if the coworkers find out, it is very unlikely they will take you seriously after that. especially if you're younger than them. and chances are, the guy will get off scott-free with a pat on the back.
