'Repeat After Me' is in fact in the new book. I received mine. It is bliss.
The new Janet Evanovich book, '10 Big Ones,' came out recently. Once finished with Sedaris, I will then purchase the new Evanovich.
I dont know how you guys buy books, but Amazon.com is a wonderful place to buy books. They are super inexpensive and get to you really fast.

I sometimes stop by the nearby bookstore and look through the used book section.

We may as well just have an Oprah Winfrey-esque book discussion up in here, b/c I instinctively picked up "Dress Your Family In..." at the local Costcos in Salt Lake City b/c of you people, ($14.27) and read the entire thing during my 5 hour flight home. Did you all finish reading it yet? The funniest part IMO hands down, that had me literally LOLing on the plane was the whole halloween situation when he was a kid. " 'Not those,' I pleaded, but rather than words, my mouth expelled chocolate, chewed chocolate, which fell onto the sleeve of her sweater. 'Not those. Not those.' She shook her arm, and the mound of chocolate dropped like a horrible turd upon my bedspread. 'You should look at yourself,' she said. 'I mean, really look at yourself.' "
Where did you get the title "Repeat After Me," Julie? Perhaps that was the original title, but now is the title of the 13th chapter?

That was the last part I read on the plane, Sunshine. I was laughing out loud, and the couple next to me looked at the naked barbie doll on the cover and scoffed.
Fucking poo-poo.
Speaking of which...those of you who have read Naked and Me Talk Pretty One Day, how are they? Are they the same chapter by chapter ramblings as Dress Your Family...?

Update:
Animal Soul by Bob Hicok is the best poetry I've ever read.
Book of My Nights by Li-Young Lee sucked dick. Horrible, simply horrible. I think his poems are the definition of confessional poetry. Every poem is either about his father, mother, or birds. BIRDS? Find some better material, motherfucker.
To wash that horrible taste out of my mouth I bought The Art of Drowning by Billy Collins. I've enjoyed the first five poems and I'm looking forward to the rest.
Bring on the paper cuts.

Macha, Me Talk Pretty One Day is a lot like Dress Your Family...a lot of funny little things about his life and family and whatnot. Barrel Fever is also done the same way. They're all great.
I am reading right now 'Jade Island' by Elizabeth Lowell and 'Ten Big Ones' by Janet Evanavich. They are both wonderful so far.
