It is a Navajo tradition to honor the 'mother' before she gives birth. Her closest friends get together and perform this ceremony basically to 'bless' the woman into motherhood.
Her midwife conducted it.
It was an absolutely beautiful ceremony.

Wow...that sounds awesome! Thanks...  I have never heard of the ceremony but I think ALL all mothers should have one - child birth is an awesome thing. I was there for my best friend's baby and I was in complete awe!! |
