Did the monsters in THE VILLIAGE have a weakness, too? Was it as ingenious as water? Were they killed by oxygen?

... red was the "bad color" [glow=red,2,300]Red is always the "bad color". [/glow]Why is that? Can't they have evil [glow=teal,2,300] turquoise-fearing [/glow]monsters. That way, everyone has to move to an indian reservation and smoke cheap cigarettes with hairless men.....hum, that doesn't sound like a bad idea. BRING IT ON TURQ HATERS! Nick can come, too.

I saw The Village yesterday also.
I admit the beginning is slow and the "scariness" factor is similiar to The Sixth Sense (not really any). But like all other M. Night movies, the end is the best and gets you to really think. Not alot of movies these days can say that. I admit the movie had a bit of a "cheese" factor too (the "forrest dwellers").
But I happen to love his movies. If you go into it expecting something, you may be disappointed.

I to saw El Village tonight. I thought it was really good. If you go in expecting one thing, you are gonna leave with disappointment and angst. If you go in not expecting the typical ending you will like it. If you do not own a functional brain you will not like it at all.
I found it to be a great atmosphere, good story, and a well shot film. M. Night knows how to make a movie. If you havent seen it, just go. Its one of those movies where you will either love it or hate it. Its something different.

I liked it too. I think, as others here have said, it was easier for me to like it because I didn't really have many expectations for it. The people I was with were complaining about it not being scary like it was advertised as or whateva, but I'm glad it was deeper than just scary stuff. good times

I just saw it. It wasn't nearly as good as my favorite movie ever: Soul Plane. While still in the same league as my most hated movie: The Rundown.
Yep, it was horrible; I recommend that anybody who doesn't want to be sitting there bored, all the while expecting more, not to go waste the hours of your life watching this boring piece of crap.
I jest! I have never seen it... FUCK!

The only disappointing thing about it was that I figured out the end before the end happened. I hate it when I do that! I ruin the movie for myself! Its so hard being a movie mastermind these days....

wtfffffffff should make a new thread per movie :{ btw i saw bourne supremacy. pretty good flick besides from the shaky camerawork. :> -stink I didn't quite understand your first sentence here, but totally agreed w/ the "btw." I think the cameraman had repeated seizures and reminded me of the Blair Witch Project "realistic" camerawork. I also get bored with car chase scenes lasting over 2 minutes. I'm told this is a guy thing. I'm glad the poor guy finally found out his real name. Matt Damon.

I liked the shaky camera stuff and I really like car chases and gun fire and whatnot. I think it is thrilling and those plus the white cherry icee make me want to pee my jeans everytime.
