Holy crapola, lots of posts. - I really liked the Village. I am one of the stupid people who did not see the ending coming. I don't know why so many people have been complaining about it. The script was well written, I enjoyed the suspense mixed iwth love mixed with mild humor. And I understood and sympathized iwth the message behind it.
- Eternal Sunshine IS a great movie. It is definitely one of my favorites. I cried in the theater when I saw it. Does that make me lame?
- Everyone I know that has seen Harold & Kumar raves about it but I refuse to believe that a movie chocked full of old ripped off cliches can be good.

I too did not expect that ending in The Village. I was a little slow in the beginning but I think M. Night is a GREAT director...and NO, you are not lame, I cried during Eternal too. (Or does that make us BOTH lame?) HUMMM...

that movie is supposed to be the Cheech and Chpng movies of today. the reason is, everyone, well most people, loved the Cheech and Chong series. they cant make a new one cuz oh Tommy. so they decided to take two diff foreigners and replace them with tath, making it funny as hell. so just watch it thinking of it as a C&C movie. the sequal shud be out next year!!

So Harold and Kumar are supposed to be "the new" Cheech and Chong.
Something tells me John Cho and Kal Penn (thanks, Google!) aren't going to be able to hold a minority candle next to Cheech and Chong.
I didn't like the idea of this movie before, but knowing that it's trying to rip off of Cheech and Chong makes it worse. Congratulations for making a movie that couldn't get much worse even worse... er.

Key word: INSTEAD They'll never be Cheech and Chong, so why try to duplicate it? It's like me trying to garner fame as like-Jim Carey. That shit sucks, allllllrighty then.
