Hey all, I found this site while I was browsing through the internet, I thought it was a cool board so I thought I'll join... Anyhow, my name is Darron, im from Michigan and I love death metal/industrial music. My fav bands are Rammstein, Megaherz, Das Ich, and other bands, I especially love German stuff...anyways nice to be here

Why do people feel the need to isolate themselves into cliques? And even worse, why embrace it like it makes you special? It doesn't. This is my philosophy on people who go out of their way to be different. They're not popular to begin with, so to counter that they form a separate identity that they know will gain them automatic acceptance to a group. These are the kids who say they don't want to be accepted or liked but its utter bullshit. IF that were true they wouldn't have to turn themselves into something they're not simply to get attention and to feel wanted. Its just a big joke really. Anyone with half a brain can see through the facade. Did you ever see "goth talk" on SNL? You're not cool for being counter-culture. You're just the lonely kid with black nail polish. |

i get what your saying. alot of people still think im gothic. its because, ive been alone my whole life, my friends tend to ignore me when around me, i hate the sunlight, i listen to some gothic bands, i enjoy industrial music, and when i wear my AFI shirt that says "IN DARKNESS TOGETHER... WE ARE FORMING", it tends to stick me out, cuz my hair looks really dark looking, my eyes got a gothic look to em and all that, so kids tend to tell me im all gothic, but im not really. why? cuz i try to stay positive no matter how lonely i can be, or how bored i get. cuz theres no need to live a dark life. some day something good will happen. so i say, enjoy your life, and do what you feel is right!
