Thought I'd start a new thread for info we know is TMI, even though everything we post on here is TMI, for medical problems and monkeys fucking coconuts (sorry, DC reflex) and such.
Here goes: anyone here ever had a urinary tract infection? I think I have one. I constantly have the urge to pee, but no pee comes out. and I have cramps like you get when you hold it in for a really long time, except that I go constantly and there is no pee. Does this sound like a UTI to you guys? It is majorly uncomfortable.
and here's the other deal: my boyfriend (or, well, I don't even know what to call him now...good friend that I could potentially not be attracted to? whatever) his ex-girlfriend got a few UTIs when she was with him. He's been tested and he's clean for everything, and so am I. But still, I'm wondering if some guys just give UTIs easily. He does have a curved penis which hits the bladder weird. Ok, I've said way too much already.

Yeah, that sounds like the beginnings of one. Def. have it checked out. Mine was to the point that my vagina hurt like all the time and it itched and burned. Majorly uncomfortable. The DocinaBox just gave me some pills and in 3 days it was gone.

The earliest I could get an appointment is next Friday. Do you think that's too long to wait?

yes, that is too long. It will probably be gone by then. If it gets worse, I would call them back and tell them to take you earlier.

Well, if the shit will be gone by then, just tough it out and save the money you would waste on a co-pay and medication. Douche it and be on your way.

Whenever I have a sudden sickness/illness/UTI I usually "hit up" the ER at a late hour of the night. If its late, such as 3am, no one is doing anything and it wont take long to be taken care of. Theyll check you out, give you meds if ness, and youll be on your way. Saves you time and the hassle.
Sounds to me like you have a UTI, so get it checked asap.
Speaking of, I once had a UTI on top of a kidney stone, which was passing. Now that was a painful and utterly uncomfortable situation.

Drink a lot of fluids, such as herbal teas and water.
Avoid sweetened fruit juices and other sweetened drinks.
Eliminate refined foods, fruit juices, caffeine, alcohol, and sugar.
Cranberries and blueberries contain substances that inhibit the binding of bacteria to bladder tissue. Drinking unsweetened cranberry juice regularly seems to help lower the risk of UTIs and can help cure one if you drink it when you first feel symptoms.
Vitamin C (250 to 500 mg two times per day) makes urine acidic, which inhibits bacterial growth.
Beta-carotene (25,000 to 50,000 IU per day) is necessary for immune function and mucous membrane integrity.
Zinc (30 to 50 mg per day) supports immune function.
(I'm not a doctor...but I play one on the Error 404 boards).

Alot of the times, UTI's can be caused by too much sex. NYMPHO!
Cranberry juice it all the way.
It could also be a bladder infection if you feel like you have to go but can't. (changing of color/cloudiness detects that)

Sounds more like gonorrhea to me. Otherwise, listen to Macha. Everything she said I know to be true from almost personal experience. No gonorrhea. UTI. It hurt but I scratched it to quell. Which... probably just spread it. Drink fluids, Cranberry Juice is a life saver. Go to Doc in the Box. They can write prescriptions too. lol. Don't let it go too long because it can spread to your kidneys and get really nasty. Plus, um, super uncomfortable.

I told this girl to beat this guy's head in with a chocolate chip cookie. She, too, did not understand that I was kidding.
