OK, this is a long shot here.

I was watching CMT the other day - mainly because I was too lazy to get up and change the channel, and this video came on. I want to show my roommate because I found it pretty amusing and I cannot remember the name/artist to save my life.

The video started with the guy singing his song in a karaoke bar - then some hills and shit, but back to the karaoke bar. If anyone knows ANYTHING about what I am talking about...Let a sista know!!!

I can't help you, but whenever I think about contemporary country, that shit stew mix of "cowboys" from Los Angeles and pop rock melodies, I think about the root word of country.

I don't like it either.
The reason for asking was that the guy singing the song had this voice Throughout the whole thing that made me sit there and think that these two things definitely do not belong together. I found it quite entertaining trying to figure out where this voice came from.
