I want Steak N Shake again... this is getting sad. During xmas break I worked almost every night, close. That's 5.30-11.30 people. At the mall... My roomate (who also works at the mall) and I would then go to Steak N Shake for dinner. For 2 WEEKS in a row! I think I spent most of my hard earned xmas money there.

will someone please tell me what this "Steak and SHake" talk is all about? we dont' have those on the east coast. All I am thinking is a steak covered with a milkshake, and that sounds nasty.

lol Steak N Shake!!! (www.steaknshake.com) Is a diner. A reallly cool, kind of old fashioned diner. They have steak burgers (not as gross as they sound, just hamburgers that aren't preshaped) And awesome hand dipped milkshakes. Along with lots of other food. Go to the website!

In the Midwest, there's a Steak 'N Shake commercial every eight seconds. Please take them away, East Coast.

The weird thing is that in the 10 years that I've lived in Barrington I never saw a Steak N' SHake commercial. It wasn't until I came to Peoria, the armpit of the universe, that I saw a commercial of theirs.

It's because the Chicago area doesn't consider itself part of the Midwest or Illinois or America or planet Earth.
Chicago's like Queen Latifa. It thinks it's the shit, but it really just has a fat ass.

I think you are bitter because the population of the Chicagoland area has cars that were manufactured after the 1980s, as opposed to central Illinois.
(Decatur sucks)

The best food ever is a totally cheap, thrown together pasta.
This is what you need....
any sort of pasta, I prefer penne... just boil it as you do, then get two packs of (i dont know the american equivalent but I'm sure Campbell's or something like it does this...) cup 'a soup... chicken flavour... use half the water you're supposed to, mix the soup up, put it in the pasta and add little tiny chunks of bacon. I swear to you its heaven.
