It's ok, Julie. We won't judge you. That's God's job. I will also just put my- nonconforming to this board's opinions of rap-self on the line and post my ass-shaking CD. For those times on my desert island when I just want to stop plucking coconuts and booty clap for a while. I jest. I cannot do that. But I can do the worm. CD 3: -Ms. Jackson- Outkast -So What'cha Want/ Sure Shot/ Intergalactic- Beastie Boys (with that, I think we've met our quota on referencing the Boys. Sorry.) -Family Affair- Mary J. Blige -Party Up- DMX -Let me Clear my Throat- DJ Kool -Everything is Everything- Lauryn Hill -Hey Mama- Black Eyed Peas (only the part where she says "Off the Richter..." ) -The Show- Doug E. Fresh & Slick Rick -It's Tricky- Run DMC -Gangsta Lovin- Eve w/ Alicia Keys -No Woman No Cry- Bob Marley And again, to reiterate...don't judge- kiss my ass.

My musical tastes run from one side of the spectrum to the other. I can't really commit to one type of music since I pick and choose songs from so many different styles. I listen to songs ranging from Classical, to hip hop, to classic and modern rock, to contemporary christian (some of it is not as bad as you think), to alternative, to cheesy 80's. I've gone to the opera a few times in NYC also... go figure. Here are a few hippie-esque tunes I left out:
-Comfortably Numb- Pink Floyd -Free Bird- Lynyrd Skynyrd -Dust in the Wind- Kansas -Listen to the Music- Doobie Brothers -Love the One you're With- Stephen Stills -Uncle John's Band- Grateful Dead -Rainy Day Women # 12&35- Bob Dylan -Turn! Turn! Turn!- Byrds -California Dreamin- Mamas and the Papas

Sunshine, you are my musical equal. Almost ALL of the songs you have mentioned have been on my playlist at one time or another.
I even jump to country, classical and heavy metal at times.
Unlike Sunshine, I do not categorize for the most part....shuffle is my bitch.
Here is my playlist as of now:
OAR - Crazy Game of Poker Ugly Kid Joe- Cats in the Cradle D-12 These Drugs Dave Matthews Band - Jimi Thing GodSmack - Bad Religion Kenny Wayne Shepard - Blue on Black Limp Bizkit - Just Drop Dead Korn - Blind (like that Pete?) Metallica - Holier than Thou POD - Will You Razed in Black - Oh My Goth! Garbage - Only Happy When it Rains Skid Row - 18 and Life Thrice - All thats Left Van Halen - Love comes Walking in Vapors - Turning Japaneese Whitesnake - Still of the Night Wolfsheim - Once in a Lifetime

Sonshine's musical tastes make me want to Lynyrd all over her Skynyrd.
I just purchased with money I received from selling back text books:
The Band - The Last Waltz (box set) The Allman Brothers Band - At the Fillmore East (deluxe edition)
By the way, did the people who said they were going to watch The Last Waltz ever do so? Was it not the greatest experience of your life? I just watched it again the other day and spontaneously went into labor.

Sonshine's musical tastes make me want to Lynyrd all over her Skynyrd. I want to Doobie all over your brothers. I'm making it a point to rent The Last Waltz and Requiem for a Dream this week because of you chickenheads. I'll let ya know. From the previous comments, it looks like depending on the order I watch them in, I'll give birth then kill myself.

Rest assured. It rocks.
Before I saw Requiem for a Dream, someone told me I would kill myself afterwards, too. I didn't feel that way at all. I mean, maybe it was because I had all these people building it up as the most depressing film of all time, but it wasn't. Not even moderately, really.
There's only one character who made me somewhat depressed, and it's because she's innocent in her downward spiral. Everybody else falls into the "gets what they deserve" catagory. Not that I'm condemning drug users to hell, but it makes it less moving when people do bad things to themselves and then bad things happen to them, yes?
Schindler's List is a movie you kill yourself after, not Requiem for a Dream.

I just got home from a little 'vacation' and waiting for me in my mailbox was 'the most beautiful rock film ever made' or perhaps you would rather me refer to it as 'the finest of all rock movies?' Either way, it is here and I will soon be watching. I have my hands on the 'Special Edition,' which probably just means the cover is a little shinier than it would be on the regular. I'm sure it will be great.

Currently listening to:
Yellowcard - whold CD Thursday - Cross Out the Eyes Thursday - Paris in Flames Silverchair - Abuse me, Freak, Tomorrow Lost Propets - Burn Burn, Last Train Home, Handsome Life of Swing Blink 182 - Josie, Girl Next Door, Apple Shampoo
Schindler's List made me want to never go to meet a Nazi. I think that's one of the only movies that made me really cry. Like really cry. Cry like my cat died. (I don't have a cat, but you get the point.)

I'm sure it will be great. It's special edition because of the "extras," if you will. And let me tell you, where other DVD extras fail, The Last Waltz rapes! (and that's a good thing!!) For example, there's a "jam session" which was filmed after the concert including most of the guest artists AS WELL AS Ron Wood, Ringo Starr, and Stephen Stills. WTF?? WTF?? Not only does watching this jam session ROKKKK, but they JAMMED OUT so long that the cameras broke. Yes, The Band and Co. played for so long, the cameras filming them stopped working!!All other bands but The Band suck because they can't break cameras.

I couldnt help but laugh. Especially when they shocked her.
