I'm sorry to comment on all of your choices, 2Short, but this is another one that I also enjoy immensely. I believe it is of Plato (left) and Aristotle (right), but I could be mistaken. I like it becasue it clearly shows their views on philosophy with just their simple hand gestures. Fine choice, my friend. And I will not post after you for three posts now, to make up for my excessive post-2short posts. Too many 'posts.'

Julie, I'm going to guess you finished your stained glass work of art the same day you got your tattoo. Smart ass.
Censored, do you mind that we're posting tons of other peoples work and hardly any of our own? I just started taking black and white pictures this year but I need a decent camera to continue. I would like to see more of your work, half brain.
I guess when I asked for advice on painting I was thinking more on the supplies. I am so anal and self conscious with anything remotely creative I do, so I'm thinking it might be an expensive hobby. I think I'm going to take a class.
Bob did inspire me, L. Even though he was high whenever he painted, and I wanted to pick his afro.

I'm back! Here's what I have to say... I love Monet and Van Gogh ... prolly because I've been to France and seen the real things ... I have a real picture of this: And I've been here (although they made it tacky by painting 'Van Gogh's Cafe' on there... losers): Also, Bob Ross used to do his painting things in a building at Minnetrista which is a place I volunteer at. I love Bob Ross and his happy trees.

Even though he was high whenever he painted, and I wanted to pick his afro. I dont mind at all. Its good to see that people are into art, rather then typical teenage-25 yr old activities. I like alot of the stuff you guys posted. I would like to see work from you guys, but if you dont have any or if you dont want to posst um...thats cool. I just wanted to see if you guys were into the art scene, and if you had any work of your own. Sonshine: Id love to see your black and whites when you get some more...or any. Those are probably my favorite kind of art. I will definitely put some more up on this mother F, but I gotta dig the shit outta my "buckets" in my closets. Will do though...possibly tomorrow or the next day. Plus my scanner is only 8x11 and some of my art is much bigger, so id have to take a picture or something. Well see what happens. Id love to share them with you guys. Soon. Soon. -Half brain.

Double Post! Fuck You!
Sonshine:
Oh, supplies? Honestly it isnt a very big expense. I like to use watercolors and acrylic paints.
Water colors are cool, because you can add right over the water color with an acrylic..or and oil paint. To make a unique kind of painting. Plus watercolors are literally $3, give or take some. They last a while to.
Acrylic isnt very expensive. Ive found acrylic paints anywhere from $1-5 per color. Usually more towards a $1. So really depending on the amoutn of colors you need it wont be too expensive. They last a long time to.
Oil paints may run you anywhere from $1-10 or $15 dollars. Possibly more. I havent checked out the price ranges on them. But they are harder to work with.
Its up to you though.

Stained glass template: $2 eye/ear dropper: $.75 paint: $1
for a mere $3.75 you can create something as glorious as I posted. That was my work. I made it, and I do have the tattoo.
I lie sometimes, but not about things as serious as stained glass and dragon tattoos. Those are both serious matters.

Stained glass template: $2 eye/ear dropper: $.75 paint: $1 Lying to people on this board who would take a bullet for you...priceless. I kid. I would not take a bullet for you, but I would have your back in a fight. I'm no Fitty- Cent, folks. (Or like my mom likes to say: "Fifty Cents." and "Tommy Hilfinger.")

It's just that of those 98% who like The Great Wave, 8% have actually taken the time to look through other pieces that aren't blazen on coffee mugs and mouse pads around the world. The other 90% claim The Great Wave as their favorite because they have no other choice, having made this decision because they once saw it on a t-shirt. These percentages are terribly accurate. This is the oil on canvas transfer I own that I spoke of. (It's called "Perseverance.") It is one of the painitings "enblazoned on coffee mugs and mouse pads," however I loved it when I saw it and it gives me strength somehow when I look at it. Ok, that might sound corny, but I love all types of art. Art is really subjective and I think people get different interpretations from different pieces whether it's what the original artist intended or not. It's great you take the time to appreciate different works of art, probably due to your creative nature, but there are some people that just don't appreciate art, or literature, or drama, or music, and that's just not their thing, and that's ok. There is a reason, obviously, why certain artists and works of art become famous and world reknown. I can appreciate obvious works of art like the one above or one like this, by Nell Whatmore: (Deep Blue Calm) Or this: Or vaginas depicted by Georgia O'Keefe- lady lover.
