what are you guys afraid of? I must admit something, and this may come as a shock to some of you but.... I have a fear of wigs and wig stores. Let me specify: it's okay if the wig is being sold in a bag at CVS at Halloween, but I don't like it when the place of business specifically sells wigs. And I don't like wigs on dummy heads. thats probably bigger than my fear of the actual wigs. what if those wig heads talk to eachother? what if they kill people? If I get cancer, I'll most definitely revel in my baldness, because I aint settin foot in a wig store. just to illustrate, I can't picture anything scarier than this: We also previously discussed this on the DC board...I think I fear wax museums as well. Wig stores and wax museums are two places I never want to go into. after all those stories of people mistaking wax people for real people, I don't think you could ever make me go in there. Really, now: which Christopher Reeve is this? see, you can't tell either!

Feet gross me out. I'm not sure if that's considered a fear, but whatever.
I can't think of anything that I'm deathly afraid of. All I know is that I'd rather be hurt than on of my friends or immediate family. I hate seeing the people I love suffer.

Wasn't this thread here and gone already...sharks? No, that was on the website owned and operated by Dane Cook. Since this new board is a collective effort (with Pete at the helm, I wouldn't forget ya!) it's a new thread, dammit! And besides, I've come up with new fears. You all knew about my fear of mannequins, but did you know about the wig thing? I THINK NOT!

OK, I remember now, it was the 'tell me something good' thread that turned into a fear thing.
Never EVER would I make the mistake of confusing a thread in this board over the Cock board. But thanks for clearing that up El...
Proceed.

I love how just the mere mention of wigs in this thread brought up all these wig store advertisements at the top of the page. Great, now even the Internet is taunting me with those scary-ass things.
I just want one person to agree with me that stores that sell wigs are disturbing as hell.
Just one.

If I was a homophobic fashion designer (oxymoron?) maybe that would be a fear.

I fear most everything, so to try and make a list would be like the birth rate of China. As I was writing, more would be developed and I would never finish writing. I will name one or two, though.
If I am alone in a room and there is no sound at all, I will not sing nor will I whistle joyously to myself. I have always had this fear that were I to sing or whistle in an empty room, my melodic harmonies would be finished up for me. For instance: Were I to sing 'Dont you want somebody to love? I would be fearful that someone or something would reply 'Dont you need somebody to love?' and then...what the hell would I do??
I am fearful of coatracks and tall halogen lamps. I do not like tall, stick like objects in my home. They can be tall, as long as they arent taller than me. I dont feel comfortable with these inanimate objects looming over me. I dont like to be intimidated by wooden/metal stick things.
That is all for now. I wouldnt want to overwhelm you all with my fears. It's far too much.

Wanna hear something insane? I have a fear of fire escapes. I don't like stairs with spaces in between. I feel like I could fall through. Same with spiral staircases. I think they are the worst idea ever conceived. I feel like I'm constantly going to fall.
I'm not sure if this is a fear or not but...I don't like furniture, or anything, made out of wrought iron. I could become impaled on it! I also don't like using big knives - the smaller the knife for me, the better. also, buzz saws freak the shit outta me. I don't know whose brilliant idea it was to put 7th graders in a class with really dangerous machinery like my woodworking class, but I had a constant fear of the belt sander and the buzz saw. could be why I almost failed the class.

I mean, it's not comfortable and the squeaking when you sit on it drives me up the wall!! I have a fear of tornadoes (even though I have never experienced one before). I think I died in one in a previous life or something. I also have a fear of most insects and creepy crawly things, even though I know I am bigger then them - they freak me out! Knowing there is a spider currently living in my car and I can't see it - my GOD - I am going to be in a car accident any day now!

I treat every bug I see as if it were a flea. I kill bugs until they are super-mega-ultra dead. I dont want any kind of chance that it will be reborn, as a lot of these bugs dont give up, and come after me. One time, I squished one of those fat ass ants until he popped and some kind of yellowish-white goo came out of him. I think it was ant shit. I think I killed the shit out of him. I do not fear bugs. I just think they are na-na.

I don't have fears. Fears are irrational.
However, things that I don't like more than most other things are spiders and bodies of water other than a pool, a lake, or a puddle.
