I believe it is the piccolo played at the beginning of The Blossoms, followed up by a flute later in the song. It is nice and I enjoy its niceness.

Vespertine is great too. I love "all is full of love". the lyrics are fucking insane. she's some sort of elf. I picture the elves up in the north pole listening to vespertine.
also, I still can't get enough of "army of me". it's got that great beat that just makes me want to stalk someone. with Massive attack's "angel" on as well, I could damn well be threatening.
anyone listen to Tricky or Massive Attack? Mezzanine is a great fuckin album. Angel and Karmacoma. as is that song "Protection" with the chick from everything but the girl.
